Tilt and Turn

Tilt and Turn

Tilt & turn windows have a special locking mechanism that allows the same window to be opened in two different ways.

The tilt feature leans the head of the casement towards you. This provides a good amount of ventilation but stops rain from getting into the room. The turn feature allows the window to be fully opened which provides maximum ventilation and even allows the outside of the window to be cleaned from the inside. Because the windows tilt and turn into the property we recommend installing double glazed units with internal blinds. Internal blinds further reduces the need for maintenance, with the slats hermetically sealed. The blinds can be controlled manually or electronically, giving you complete control of light and shade.

All our products are fully compliant with both building and fire regulations; the larger opening provides an ideal escape in the event of a fire.

Glass Designs

All our windows can be personalised with a range of stunning glazing options.

You can customise your window design with different styles of glazing so that the look and feel is entirely appropriate for your property, whether you live in a traditional or contemporary home, in a rural or urban environment.

Call us on 01926 497645 or pop into the showroom to talk to us about how you can customise your windows with our range of glazing options, lead designs and Astragal Bars

Glass Designs - Lead

Lead designs

Leading gives uPVC windows a traditional, aged look and comes in a variety of designs.  We can create beautiful borders in bevels or leads - or you can choose from standard diamond or box leading.

The great thing about choosing leading is that practically any design is available. And we can easily match the design of your existing windows if only one or two windows need replacing.

Glass Designs - Astragal Bar

Astragal bars

Astragal bars are designed to replicate the style and variety of traditional timber windows and work particularly well with older, period properties.

They go one step further than a standard Georgian Bar – we incorporate spacer bars between the glass which gives the appearance of individual panes, and the raised bars give a more authentic, Georgian look.

Glass Designs - Georgian Bars

Georgian bars

Similar in appearance to Astragal bars, and used in the same traditional designs, Georgian bars are housed between the panes of glass in the double glazed unit.

So, while you’re adding the character of Astragal bars, you will also benefit from the easy cleaning and maintenance of your new windows because the bars are on the inside of the double glazed unit. Georgian bars are available in white and brown to match all of our frame colours.

Energy Ratings

The average home can lose 30% of its heat through its windows. Energy efficient windows will save you money on energy bills each and every month.

The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) Scheme is the UK’s national system for rating the energy efficiency of windows and is recognised within Building Regulations as a way of showing compliance for your replacement windows installation.

Window Energy Ratings (WERs) use a consumer-friendly traffic light style A-E ratings guide that clearly shows which windows are the most energy-efficient – with A being the best choice.

Conserving heat and energy within your home

Energy efficient windows help to contain and conserve heat. They keep out wind and rain, resist condensation and allow natural energy (ie. the warmth of the sun) to heat the home.

With carbon emissions high on the world’s political agenda and with the high cost of fuel, investing in our homes to make them more energy efficient makes perfect sense.

We only supply and install A-rated windows, because these are considered to be best practice by the Energy Savings Trust.
